Emanuel Wallace, a Cleveland-based photographer born in 1981, is dedicated to capturing fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, transforming them into compelling visual stories. Influenced by iconic photographers like Jamel Shabazz and Gordon Parks, Wallace seeks to reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary, focusing on the beauty of everyday life. His work reflects a deep appreciation for the details of daily existence, particularly within his hometown of Cleveland and beyond. With a background in business management, holding both a bachelor's degree and an MBA, Wallace’s true passion lies in photography and writing. His achievements include receiving the Allen E. Cole Excellence in Photojournalism Award from the Greater Cleveland Association of Black Journalists in 2022, and a Room in the House Fellowship from Karamu House. Since 2014, he has served as the staff photographer for Scene Magazine.
