Welcome to The Collective and thank you for your interest. The Collective is a new on-line retail gallery for emerging and/or established artists and artisans.
The idea of The Collective came about after discussions with many artists who were having difficulties finding the right sales mechanism for their art. Shows, galleries or home parties just weren't giving them enough exposure and individual Web sites weren't practical since many emerging artists have day jobs or other responsibilities that keep them from producing more than a few pieces a year. It because obvious that there were quite a few of us out there in a similar situation. Hence the creation of The Collective.
The Collective is an Internet consignment shop. You pay no up front fees and The Collective does most of the work. We can photograph your art, post it to the site, process payments through our merchant account and pack and ship the purchased item.
The Collective Shop and Gallery is an opportunity for artist to showcase and sell their work. We are looking for artists who work in media such as pottery, glass, fiber, metal, stone, wood and photography who are searching for a mid-to-high end retail outlet.
So, if you are looking for a better way to market your art, a way that uses the synergy of many type of media, The Collective may be for you.
